Bio

Stan Hall, the owner of HALL Drafting & Design, was raised as the son of a home builder in Moscow, ID. He was groomed to be able to start and run his own home construction business. He took an early interest in the drafting of homes and started drafting professionally in high school. After attending the Architecture program at the University of Idaho for 3 yrs, and then turning 21 years old, he decided to start his own home building business.

He always maintained drafting for himself and a few others throughout his building years. Besides his father, his 3 brothers were also home builders.

After 22 yrs. as a home builder, he decided to change direction and become a subcontractor. Stan subcontracted many things, as his training allowed him. He did excavation, concrete, framing, siding, and finish work on both residential and commercial jobs. He also worked on many commercial jobs as a superintendent and/or project manager. Which vastly increased his range of knowledge.

On his first job as a project manager a structural engineer friend took him aside and trained him in structural principles related to building design. This was incredibly valuable training which helped him excel and led to him being sought out as a consultant as well.

After an injury in 2009 he fell back on his drafting skills and has been drafting full time since. For 10 yrs.  Stan worked nearly exclusively doing the plans, material takeoffs and scheduling of jobs for the largest single-family home builder in Alaska.

Due to a large increase in the number of grandchildren he could no longer justify living in Alaska and relocated to Coeur d’Alene ID, again. He lived in Coeur d’Alene for most of the decade of the 1980’s.

He is now looking to establish new clients and to being a productive and helpful team member for local home building professionals.

Stan is an avid outdoorsman, hunter and bush crafter. He loves spending weekends on his 4-wheeler in the mountains, when not spending time with his many grandchildren.
